Following quite a while of living in Chicago, Franciszek (Ireneusz Czop) comes back to his little Polish main residence to find that his sibling Jozef Kalina (Maciej Stuhr) has turned into a social untouchable.
At in the first place, Jozef won’t tell his sibling what’s going on. He hates Franciszek for having left his mom to tend to their homestead after his dad’s demise. Yet, Francizek autonomously realizes what happened: Jozef recovered Jewish occupants’ tombstones that the town was utilizing to re-clear their streets. He then tries to fix things up with Jozef while hunting down more data on the recently uncovered grave-markers.
