Composed and coordinated by Darren Scales, Darkwave: Edge of the Storm has a strong story and I was enraptured by the characters. Nonetheless, the way the account was set up it felt like the motion picture was begun 20 minutes before I tuned in. What makes David and Sarah’s child so “exceptional” to the Ministry and how can that identify with these star gems? What were the thought processes behind the Ministry and what kind of things had they done that made them fiendish?
The closure was awesome, yet it felt uncertain and left me needing more (don’t stress, no spoilers ahead). What felt like the begin of an activity pressed completion ended up being the unexpected closure of the film. It was somewhat reminiscent of the now notorious arrangement finale of The Sopranos.
